As a logistics industry that connects both ends of the market and has increasingly prominent strength, it faces many challenges such as reducing costs and improving service quality. However, domestic policies have begun to show results, such as the significant improvement of comprehensive logistics efficiency and service level, which has provided strong support for the construction of a modern economic system and high-quality economic development.
Recently, Li Wenxin, vice president of the China Transportation Association, emphasized at the 2024 Global Trade and Logistics Summit that the important task of today's logistics industry is to build a supply chain coordination and preparedness for the entire industrial chain, create a safe and green value-added chain and a modern logistics circulation ecological environment. In this regard, he gave three major countermeasures and suggestions: First, accelerate the upgrading and transformation of traditional logistics services; second, study and formulate a supply chain coordination strategy for the entire industrial chain; third, pay attention to the greening and sustainable development of logistics, transform the existing logistics system through energy conservation and carbon reduction, establish a modern green logistics system, and innovate logistics supply chain services in order to enhance the logistics supply chain capabilities.
Xu Zuyuan, former vice minister of the Ministry of Transport, believed at the meeting that under the background of the rapid development of new productivity, the construction of a new ecology of circulation logistics requires in-depth cooperation among all parties to build a community of shared destiny with data sharing, information sharing, technology sharing, normative co-construction, and interest sharing. Specific operations include: strengthening data sharing and information exchange, promoting technological and model innovation, building a coordinated industrial ecology, improving laws, regulations and standards, and cultivating a high-quality talent team.
Yu Xingyuan, Director of the Transportation and Logistics Department of the Ministry of Transport's Transportation Service Department, pointed out that reducing costs, improving quality and increasing efficiency in transportation and logistics is a systematic project aimed at reducing the overall cost of the industrial chain. "This requires us to work hard on both hardware and software to jointly build an efficient transportation and logistics system that is closely connected internally and externally."
As a supporting event in the field of transportation and logistics of the CIIE, this forum attracted many domestic and foreign logistics experts and scholars to gather together to discuss new opportunities for international logistics under the new situation of global trade, and to make suggestions for the integrated development and innovative cooperation of the industrial chain and supply chain. The guests unanimously agreed that the holding of this forum not only provides a platform for industry elites to showcase innovative achievements and share ideas and wisdom, but also greatly promotes the application of Chinese logistics solutions in the field of global logistics and supply chain.
